How would you define eco-fashion?

Eco-fashion is the ability to dress people with clothes made with Non-polluting production systems, or made with waste materials recycled from other production processes.

What kind of materials are used - organic, recycled or other?

I use recycled materials from various sources but mainly recycled fabrics and textiles from famous high fasion brands. I also use fabrics and objects that can be reused for my fashionable clothes.

How would you say your work gives back to nature?

My works are ECO because they are handmade and rigorously using waste and recycled materials. My work doesn’t have a negative impact on the earth. In some way they eliminate the trash instead of going to landfill.

There is an opinion that eco-fashion is niche and should remain so. What is your take on this? What direction would you like eco-fashion to take; where do you see it in the future (especially in India)?

Eco fashion is marginal at this point social, creates a movement linked to the current trend. The problem is underestimated and considered as consumerist movement. With my products I want to educate the masses to dress eco and respect the planet. In this way, a simple fashion of the moment will become a way of designing the product that will continue over time. India has to transform and convert the current textile industry in a process with less impact on the planet. India is one of the largest apparel manufacturers, and can change the culture of many people. The new generation of Indian designers have this mission.
